Happy Birthday Mom!

On March 24th, we all celebrated Mom's birthday. We showered her with gifts to pamper herself since she is always taking such good care of all of us! The boys made an ice cream cake and we all enjoyed Portillo's for dinner....yum:)!

Love you Mom! Thanks for being my mom, but most importantly my best friend.

Field Trip to the Firestation

On Tuesday, March 22nd, Mikey and I joined Joey and his class to the fire station. I had been there a few times before to help chaperone field trips over the years, but this one was by far the best. The firemen were really into teaching the kids about their equipment and the station. The boys climbed into the trucks and ambulances and tried on all the gear!

Kindergarten Registration - March 12th

Joey registered for kindergarten on March 12th! I couldn't believe it! Where has the time gone? He will be going to Wesley School which is in walking distance from our new house ( my parents home).. He can even ride his bike to school, so he is super excited. My brother's went to school at Wesley, so it will definitely be one of those Oprah "full circle moments"

Happy Birthday Dad!

On March 8th we celebrated Dad's birthday! We had a great meal and the boys made a yummy chocolate cake. Dad was super excited to get the wine fridge he wanted and a latte machine:) We love you Dad! Thanks for all you do for our family! We don't tell you that enough.

Extreme Home Makeover!

They were so excited, they're still in jammies!

Two weeks ago Timmy and Dad helped me tackle a project I've been wanting and waiting to do. Now that it's official that we live with my parents, I wanted the boys to take some ownership in their new rooms. Mikey wanted a "chicago bears room" and Joey wanted a "superman" room. Before thye left for the weekend with their dad, they were so excited to help! They carried every toy out of the old playroom because now that will be Mikey's room! They washed walls, took down border, and more. It was so great for them to take part in it which I think helped with the change.

When they got back on Sunday, they had new rooms! Timmy painted the walls of both rooms and between Dad, Tim, and I we pulled up the old carpet to reveal gorgeous oak floors! Joey is highly allergic to dust mites, so carpet had to go and it was well worth the work!

We are still in the process of getting furniture and making it completely put together, but they are both happy and so proud of their new lil rooms!

Popcorn Balls!

These crack me up

M&M sent the boys a great holiday gift that they enjoyed many times. It was from the Popcorn Factory and it was popcorn balls that you decorate. It came with as many different candies than you can imagine! The night before they left, we all decorated them, even Papa! It was too funny! Then there is "dance party" We've upgraded to dance party in the basement with Christmas lights and flashlights as the "spotlights" ...you just have to be there I guess:)

Better Late Than Never!

Here's some pics from NYE2010! Good time with the family at Lucky Strike and Mack's! Here's to a GREAT 2010

Christmas 2009

FYI - These pics are a little out of order...sorry:)

On Christmas Eve the boys and I prepared for the holiday and for M&M to come in from Cali! We went to Grandpa Irvin's for dinner and to open presents. Afterwards we went to the candlelight service at church, which I love! When we got home we set out the cookies we had made for Santa and Papa got carrots for the reindeer. Both boys wrote letters to Santa telling him that they "loved him". too cute. They each picked out a book to read. Mikey picked out Polar Express and Joey picked Night Before Christmas. They were so excited and going to bed was so cute..."Mommy, I am so excited, I just can't sleep!" Eventually the boys did fall asleep and were up at 5am. M&M got in from Cali at 1:30am and it was so great to see them! The best part of Christmas was when Matt and Megan came upstairs in the morning and the boys saw them for the first time....they were soooo excited! Having our entire family home for Christmas morning made it the best Christmas in years!! The morning went by way too fast.
