Christmas Fun!!!

The boys and I have been very busy getting in the Christmas Spirit! We had a special visit from Tita and Uncle Matt the first week of December! We even got to see lil Poppy Girl in Tita's tummy!! Yay!!! The family had fun relaxing and sharing time together. We had our annual trip to Chicago to see the tree and go to the Kriskindle Market in Daley Plaza.

My mom bought tickets for us to go on the Polar Express! Auntie Nicole joined us for a fun afternoon of traveling to the "North Pole" The kids played games, read the story and we had a Christmas Carol sing along!! It was great! I think the best part for the boys was seeing Santa Claus! Or maybe it was the cookies and chocolate milk:)!

Now that the boys are older, Christmas is getting even more exciting. They are understanding the meaning and really getting into it! Mikey loves the Nativity scene and asks me to pull over whenever we see one by a house or church. Joey is into his advent calendar with the chocolate. Grandma and Papa bought the Fannie May one...so it is a HUGE piece of candy.

Mikey had his Christmas Preschool Program and I was lucky enough to be a room mother for Joey's Christmas Party for Kindergarten. Mikey belted out the songs and was even swaying to the music. Joey has made a lot of friends and enjoyed coloring his new Christmas cup.

Long Overdue!!!!!

Where do I even begin?

Well, Joey is now in kindergarten at Wesley Elementary School in Addison. Michael goes to 4 year old preschool everyday at Addison Park District. I am back working as a teacher's aide and enjoying it!

A lot has happened, but I am making a resolution to get back to our blog to not only keep family and friends up to date, but it is a great keepsake as the years go by!

Fun with Friends

a

This past weekend the boys and I had the house to ourselves, so i thought it was the perfect opportunity to host my turn for our playgroup dinner. Nicole also came over in the morning to play with the boys and bring them their Easter Baskets.

Joey's first Soccer Practice

On Wednesday, Joey had his first practice for the U6 league he is in! Despite the cold, rainy day...it was so much fun watching him play!

Easter Egg Coloring

Boys 1st Sleepover

We were lucky enough to have Payton sleepover one night last month. The boys were so excited! Even that doesn't express how incredibly happy they were to have a friend overnight! They did so great all together and they even all camped out in the same bed...too cute:) I checked on them in the middle of the night to find Mikey cuddled up to Payton. We can't wait to have him over again:)

Addison Park District Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, March 27th, I invited my family along with Kevin, Owen and the Brown's to the annual egg hunt. It started with a pancake breakfast and pics with the Easter Bunny. Then at 10:30 the madness began. They had the eggs divided by age group, since out of the 4 boys were either 4 or 5, Mikey bumped up an age group. When they blew the horn, it was madness for about 30 seconds...then all the eggs were gone. I couldn't believe it! Too bad the boys don't pick up their toys that fast:)

Easter Party at A.T.

On the Friday before Spring Break, my mom invited the boys to the Easter Party hosted by NHS at A.T. We have gone every year since Joey was a baby. It is a lot of fun and great to see how each of the kids change in a year! The boys played games, face painted, decorated cookies and did an excellent job at the Egg Hunt. Due to the weather it was held in the library this year, but they both found their 12 eggs in no time:)
