We have been outside each and everyday it has been nice! The bikes, balls, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and kites have all been broken in already. One afternoon we went to Dairy Mart in Huntley with some friends and then to the "alligator" park. The boys are so brave on the park equipment! Joey has always been my daredevil, but now Mikey is following in his footsteps. I have my first aid kit ready to go in the car...we have already had a few bumps and bruises!
Joey's newest "trick" is to hang upside down on the bars. He loves it! He has mastered the firemen's pole and is doing a great job of pumping his legs while he on the swings! Go Joey! Mikey loves to climb and attempted to go upside down ( without help) so I am hoping that curiosity has been sqwashed!
Our friend, Drew, turned 3 last week so he had a fishing birthday party! The boys were so excited! They both used a Spiderman fishing pole, but did not understand AT ALL tht you have to be patient to fish. Joey thought you threw the worm in the water and immdiately had a fishie! The thrill lasted about ten minutes and they moved on to the bouncy houses!
Mikey is riding his bike all by himself! He had a pole on the back of his Radio Fyler Trike, but now he is a "big boy" and can go alone! An incentive to get out the door early each morning for preschool is that they can have 5 minutes to ride their bikes. It has been working so well! Mommy isn't stressed trying to get out the door and they are having fun...win-win!
By Joey's preschool is a beautiful forest preserve by the Fox River. They have a very nice path which I used to run on when in the marathon training a few years back. Mikey and I have gone a few times in the stroller to walk. So, I thought the boys would enjoy riding in the "forest" It was fun, but we had a hard time with staying on our side of the path. Good thing it wasn't crowded! They even got off their bikes at one point and sat on the path to check out their bikes to make sure they weren't broken:)
