Playgroup Easter Egg Coloring PartyEaster was different this year, but I realized I didn't need to have the boys on the actually day to make it special for them. I planned a lot of nice events where they could enjoy the holiday, learn about it and have fun. We invited our playgroup over for an Easter Egg coloring party last week. Even though we had 9 kids coloring eggs it was seamless...only lost 2 eggs:)! Then we had the annual A.T. Easter Party that I have been taking Joey to since he was a baby. He walked in this year like he owned the place! He knew what he wanted to do and Mikey was just following his lead! They had a huge easter egg hunt for the kids too. They walked away with lots of prizes and candy. Oh, the Easter Bunny was there too, so I got a great pic of the boys with him. Thank goodness pink bubbles was the treat from the bunny otherwise, I don't think Mikey would have sat on his lap:) Afterwards, we saw Auntie Nicole and her mom for lunch. She gave the boys their Easter baskets and we enjoyed the time together.
On Saturday, the boys celebrated Easter with my family, except for Matt and Megan ..we missed you guys! When we pulled up to their house, the Easter Bunny had left a huge soccer goal in the front yard...they were so excited! We played outside forever with their toys and Mom made an awesome lunch and Dad and Tim hid the eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt. Sarah and Timmy got the boys great toys and much needed clothes...thanks so much! Aunt Julie and Uncle Buff and Kaylie stopped by to see the kids and gave them more baskets! The boys were spoiled this year! Thanks to everyone for making them feel so special:)On Easter morning, the bunny came! The boys were up super early...6:15am, and we headed downstairs. he left baskets and eggs for them to find. WHen Mikey opened up his things he kept saying, "Thank you Easter Bunny!" It was adorbale. Joey just kept saying "Wow, my favorite!" Even though it was difficult to not celebrate on the day, it was the best Easter we've had in a long time.
